About Alive In Messiah

STATEMENT OF FAITH

Alive In Messiah began in 2016 as a Bible study in the home of Caleb Hegg and Lacacia Cardoza. After two years of meeting, the group became an official congregation led by Caleb Hegg and later joined by Michael Gonzales. Hegg and Gonzales were both members of Beit Hallel Messianic Synagogue in Tacoma, Washington and colleagues at TorahResource. Together they shared the responsibility of teaching on Shabbat and Festival Days.

In March 2022, Michael stepped down from his position as an elder at Alive In Messiah and moved back to his hometown of Fort Worth, Texas. Caleb decided to dissolve the community in Tacoma and focus on his education and his teaching ministry called Pronomian. They continue to work for TorahResource. Michael now works remotely from Texas.

In 2023 Michael started a Bible study in his home. This study lasted only a few months. Again in 2024, he held a Bible study for a six months at The Edge Coffeehouse in Lake Worth, Texas. The hope was to start a Bible study which would eventually grow into a church plant.

Alive In Messiah will now be a weekly podcast hosted by Gonzales and featured in the TorahResource Learning Center. Details are forthcoming.
